I have been responsible for the death of more than a few plants in the garden. However, this is my first shovel victim. Clay. Enough said.

Hopefully the shovel had a long and useful life before it met with its demise.
Sadly, one of our best and most used! It will be missed and remembered fondly. 🙂
My favorite shovel at HomewardBound. RIP
So sorry! I am on the hunt for a worthy replacement!
While not a trusty shovel, I had to recently bid farewell to my longtime faithful morning companion, my coffee maker. It’s hard to say goodbye!
If you’re in the market for a new shovel, I’d encourage you to check out the Garden Tool Co. Blake Shreck and his wife advertised last summer on the gardening website I manage as my day job, and they have some great, sturdy tools to choose from. (And no, I don’t get any finder’s fees or commissions for sending folks their way; I just love getting – and sharing – personal recommendations for small and/or local businesses whenever possible.)
