October began with an incredible surprise: rain!

Something we have not seen in a very, very long time.

And absolutely no one seemed to mind. 🙂

  1. Ah ………… rain! The immediate smell of damp grass and shrubs, and a little later the visual celebrations… the lush greenery, the plants once very subdued and relaxed are now excited and pointing upwards. I do not understand the need for mood enhancing medications… just go outside immediately after the rain (or even during!) and just soak up the atmosphere. Bath in the feast that was just served to all the plant life and afterwards… see the excitement being displayed by so many creatures. Ah …………. rain!
