Tucking in the Garden

Another evening visit to the Homeward Bound Memorial Garden this week. My turn this time. Hopefully it is our last day with temperatures over 100 for a while, thanks to the Delta Breeze which is just beginning to kick in.

The bunnies were too quick for me to capture…

The dragon flies would not hold still…

So you will just have to take my word for it.

Nothing profound to say; the Garden says it all.

And then it says “goodnight.”

I am a nascent gardener, rescuer, and photographer, chronicling the journey of the dogs at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary near Sacramento, CA - and the Memorial Garden we have devoted to them.

  1. This is amazing. I remember when there was almost nothing but tall weeds. There were 2 or 3 rose bushes clustered together trying to peek through. I left a little gray statue of a retriever to give the roses some company.

    1. And it is in good company now. Lots of work, but a labor of love for the dogs, those that adopt/foster, and the amazing volunteers of Homeward Bound!
