This is what the moon looked like a couple of nights ago. (I’m not very good at moon photos, yet – but the sky is what I really want you to focus on. You’ll see why.)
It’s a good thing I dug the Dahlia’s up.
Because this is the result of the first two out of three storms we are experiencing. Our poor Homeward Bound Memorial Garden. Not to mention the soggy doggy runs.
They call it the “Pineapple Express,” or “atmospheric river” – a much more descriptive term, I think. Warm air and moisture move in from the Hawaiian Islands, and dump all over the Central Sacramento Valley and Sierras. What melts in the mountains travels downhill to us, compounding the wet mess.
I can hardly wait to see what the third, and strongest, has in store for us. Does anyone have an Ark?
Beautiful moon shot, but I hope it dries up for you soon.
Thank you, Judy. Me Too!!!
I have a weimarnaner named Rainy Day…I should have named her “I don’t want to potty outside because I HATE Rainy Days….sigh….how unexciting our lives would be with out the warm hearts of a dog in our lives. Looks like you have a mess to contend with. I live on Catalina Island in California and it has rained for three days. So I just have to sing the “happy potty song” every time we go outside. Good luck and I think your garden is absolutely beautiful and your Goldens make it a show place of course
Lisa
I think we are in for at least two more days of this, Lisa. Tell Rainy Day to look forward to Sunshine Monday. Thanks for visiting!
I think the goldens are going to need flippers soon! Your cloudy moon shot is wonderful, but I’m wishing you a beautiful sunny sky in the very near future.
Thank you! We’ll take it! I believe it will be delivered on Monday 🙂
Lovely photos! Peaceful rain and joyful return of sunshine…
Thank you, Catherine.
YIKES!!!! I hope all those bulbs we have planted are not drowning. I guess I’ll spend the weekend looking through catalogs for sunflower seeds.
If you would be so kind as to send some of that rain a little to the east to sun dried Arizona, it would be much appreciated. Forget the dogs.. we are drooling over the puddles in your pictures!
We would be very happy to! Why don’t you take the rain that is coming tomorrow and Wednesday…we’ll just ship it over!
yo mama – Maria, fire up that rototiller again and dig us some trenches!
You wanted a water feature!
