I am a nascent gardener, rescuer, and photographer, chronicling the journey of the dogs at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary near Sacramento, CA - and the Memorial Garden we have devoted to them.

The rain kissed us earlier this week, but it was one of those big, sloppy kind of kisses. Not nearly as beautiful as your silver liquid drops. Have a great weekend!
A gorgeous set of images made all the more stunning by the presence of the raindrops. A lovely quote too. I do so enjoy your lovely articles. Bless you.
Yes … my wife has always said that she can hear the plants giving thanks when, after a long period without moisture, there is a change in the weather. She claims that during the summer months, with the windows open, an almost audible sigh can be heard when the rains finally come. Where are you? The foliage looks to lush and green. Here in Pennsylvania the spring has only just started. D
Your wife is an excellent listener. 🙂
We are in the Sacramento Valley in Northern California where winter lasts a little over two months. I’ve lived your east coast winters. You can keep them!

Kisses are kisses…unless they are floods! Have a good weekend yourself, Miss Harper Lee!
The first picture is simply beautiful!
Thank you! I was fortunate to capture the rain as it fell.

Thank you, Lizzie. I love that series from Paris (a tad jealous too!)

You should see how happy everything looks now! A good soak makes all trees and flowers smile.
I LOVE the smell after the rain 🙂
Me TOO! And snow…when it is safely in the mountains 🙂
