I am a nascent gardener, rescuer, and photographer, chronicling the journey of the dogs at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary near Sacramento, CA - and the Memorial Garden we have devoted to them.

  1. Just beautiful! Love the Blue Shrimp Plant/Honeywort. I bought seeds online last year and had lovely plants, but so far it doesn’t look like they’re coming back. Oscar and I are very disappointed!

    1. These are well protected from the elements. Tight spaces with surrounding shrubs and trees makes for a perfect micro-climate.

  2. Beautiful flowers. We got snow over night also. Really looking forward to flowers here. Thanks for sharing yours with us.

    1. Snow in mid-April means that you are entitled to an Indian Summer. You can tell Mother Nature I said so (and good luck with that!)
