I am a nascent gardener, rescuer, and photographer, chronicling the journey of the dogs at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary near Sacramento, CA - and the Memorial Garden we have devoted to them.

Aw, I’d love to adopt him, but I can’t. Three dogs are enough in this little house. And, yes, I’m ready for Fall, too. It’s been so nice being able to drive around town with the windows open and the a/c off!
Fall is definitely here in the Northeast. The evening temps are in the 30’s, leaves are changing, and summer is gone. Here’s hoping fall is the perfect time for Moses to find a forever family. 🙂
I must say…the arrival of 30-degree temperatures in September is one of the reasons I headed west. But I DO miss those gorgeous colors! You work on staying warm; we’ll work on Moses. 🙂
And its hello to Summer for us down under and the beginning of hot summer days spent sleeping on the concrete path beside the house – the goldens, not me! And also hello to early walks before it gets hot and late late walks just before dusk when its cool. I hope Moses finds his new family very soon, he looks so sweet. Joy
We’re having our first little hint of fall today, and it is absolutely delightful. Summer will be back for a brief (we hope) appearance by the weekend, but at least the promise of milder days filled with longer Golden walks is out there. Wishing you lovely days in the garden surrounded by fall gold and Goldens!
Oh so lovely!
🙂
These are just gorgeous images!
Aww…thank you..

Not to worry. We’ll find him his perfect place. Hopefully, soon. Happy fall!
