Back from an adventurous week on Kauai and returned to a whirlwind of work and house guests. Among them was my sister, Beth and her husband, Gordon. Their stay was brief, but good – with a request to see Homeward Bound and the Memorial Garden which they have known only virtually.
We made our way there Friday, where the garden is beginning to look a lot like summerβ¦
and the puppies put my sister through her paces. Yes, those are razor sharp puppy teeth hiding behind all that cuteness!
Sunday was puppy aptitude test day,
which apparently involves umbrellas (something we have little need for!) β
shoes…
toysβ¦
sharingβ¦
cuddlingβ¦
and naps! Puppy tests are exhausting!
These little monsters are spoken for, but we have three remaining from the litter that was left in a box and delivered to our door. They are adorable 100% mix-breed, nine-week old pups named after the Lion King characters. Mufasa:
Nala
And Rafiki.
Other guests included Allie, a rescue, who is about to be enrolled as a therapy dog for our local Lend A Heart organizationβ¦
And Sedona, the Homeward Bound alum of Martha and Randy.
Needless to say, I got little work done – which is just my speed right now! Iβll be back to my old self soon (I think). I may even sneak in a few more pictures from Kauai if you’ll indulge me. Until then β¦ mahalo. It’s good to be back in the garden.
I wish our home had room for one more puppy! They are just adorable and grow up to be such wonderful companions. I’m sure they will all have homes very soon. THe garden is looking just wonderful and it sounds like you’ve had a wonderful re-entry home. π I’ll always enjoy more photos from Kauai, so any time. π
Whatever photos you want to share is a good thing because your photos are spectacular. Love your pups and your gardens look beautiful. π
Thank you, Judy! π
You couldn’t talk Beth into taking home a puppy to round out their new home??
She is a certified cat person now!
OH. MY. GOSH!!! I am in love with those precious furry babies!! They are soooo adorable!! They remind me of Callie and Shadow at that age. β€ β€
Just remember the peeing, pooping, and chewed shoes! That should cure you. π
Now I didn’t say I want one. I just said I’m in love with them. LOL π
Those puppy photos make this Monday morning bearable. But I know all too well that those little cuties have teeth like barbed wire!
Anything to ease your “back-to-work” day, Will!
That puppy nomming your sister’s elbow is hysterical!
I loved seeing your work at Homeward Bound and have so much respect for the organization. Thanks for showing me around and for letting me have some puppy time. Love, your sister the cat person.
Great to see you…come on by for puppy attacks anytime. Back to your own reality now! (And I’ll let you skate on the cat preference!)
Your puppy photographs bring me such joy, I think I’ve be overcome with the smiles if I was there in person!
Smiles, giggles, and chewed toes!
