I am a nascent gardener, rescuer, and photographer, chronicling the journey of the dogs at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary near Sacramento, CA - and the Memorial Garden we have devoted to them.

Oh, my! Breathtaking! Perfect way to start the day…thank you so much. 🙂
I didn’t realize that when I updated my phone a month or two back, it started send half my emails straight to junk mail so I have missed you for a while. Just discovered the problem today. Hope it’s fixed. Now I can enjoy your gorgeous photos.
I absolutely LOVE Abutilons! We don’t exactly have the climate for them though. I’ve done them in pots and they do very well…. as long as I remember to water them. Check out Logees for some awesome varieties you may not have seen before!
It depends on where we put them. To be in ground, they need a shade protected area or one of our many micro-climate spots in our hot valley. Logees was new to me. I’ll trade you one: Annie’s Annuals. Thanks for the tip and enjoy!
Logees has perennial abutilons. When I had my greenhouse up and going I had them all the time – greenhouse to house, and even to some of my clients for seasonal potted plants. I love that plant. I had some for years. Was sorry to lose them.
