I am a nascent gardener, rescuer, and photographer, chronicling the journey of the dogs at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary near Sacramento, CA - and the Memorial Garden we have devoted to them.

  1. I didn’t realize that when I updated my phone a month or two back, it started send half my emails straight to junk mail so I have missed you for a while. Just discovered the problem today. Hope it’s fixed. Now I can enjoy your gorgeous photos.

  2. I absolutely LOVE Abutilons! We don’t exactly have the climate for them though. I’ve done them in pots and they do very well…. as long as I remember to water them. Check out Logees for some awesome varieties you may not have seen before!

    1. It depends on where we put them. To be in ground, they need a shade protected area or one of our many micro-climate spots in our hot valley. Logees was new to me. I’ll trade you one: Annie’s Annuals. Thanks for the tip and enjoy!
