It seems the hawks were not the only things on the hunt today…
Or the photographer stalking them.
Something else lurks in the meadow.
I am a nascent gardener, rescuer, and photographer, chronicling the journey of the dogs at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary near Sacramento, CA - and the Memorial Garden we have devoted to them.

Ha Ha Ha! Absolutely love this! That is one intimidating feline predator. The raptors were probably shivering in their talons!
Wonderful captures too!
He was a little cranky at me for alerting his prey! Oh well…better luck next time!
I cannot tell from your pic just how big the “winged guy” is, but many cats around here get reported missing when we have visiting hawks! Sadly, people still allow their cats to roam.
Good point. This particular cat was at no risk from these hawks…a heavyweight. But the people who live in the houses which border the meadow are hopefully careful about their small dogs and cats.
he is a hoot!
Great photos. Wonderful detail.
loved this 🙂
Classic hunting stance 😊
