The red carpet has been laid out I know you’re all abuzz about tonight’s Academy Awards.
The critics and pundits continue to speculate about the winners – as well as the surrounding controversy. There seems to have been a noticeable lack of diversity among some of the nominating categories. Notably, the complete absence of canine representation.
For the Academy’s consideration, I offer the following nominations: For Best Animated Feature:
Best Short Subject:
Best Costume Design:
Best Visual Effects:
Best Foreign Language Film:
Best in a Supporting Role:
Best in a Leading Role:
The best picture always goes to “going homes.”

Great fun! Love this. They’re all winners!!
I’m not a fan of the various awards shows any more. But I definitely agree with your canine oscar nominations!!
Okay, you gave me goose bumps. I like your version must better. 🙂 And, whoever was brave enough to share their leg with your readers has a very good exercise regime. 🙂
You would not believe her age if I told you, and if I tell you, she will kill me. Let’s just say “past medicare eligible.” She’s amazing!
Well, then, she needs to tell the rest of us her secret. LOL 🙂 And, please tell her there’s one woman in NH who thinks she rocks. 🙂
Well, she just weighed in with a comment, so you can tell her yourself! 🙂
…And the Oscars for “Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Blogger” go to ….AUDREY!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏🏆🎭🎉🎉🎈👑
Sweet, Selim! Thank you. 🙂
I would watch the Oscars if they gave the awards to people who spend their lives making a difference, like you. But a bunch of over paid movie stars? No thanks. Your dogs are much more natural beauties!
I’m not a fan, myself. Just give me the cliff notes and I’m good!
Winning blog post! Thanks for smiles.
And thanks for the nice note!
Audrey…you are amazing and talented! This is so clever. I agree with Selim…you get the award for Best Supporting Blogger!!!
I love this. Thank you for the smiles.
Thank you for visiting!
Yours are infinitely more interesting thank these oscars so far!
Uh oh…no dogs of color represented!
Oh, this is wonderful! I love it and I enjoyed it more than the human Oscars (most of which I forgot to watch, not having seen a movie since 2008). Great choices for winners! BTW, I feel stupid asking this, but is Best Actor my Woody? I should know my own dog, but there is another dog that looks so much like him that I often can’t tell who is who. So, if it’s Woody, I need to know so that I can give him his award here. 😉 Thanks!
Hi Mary, the Best Actor goes to Rusty…but Woody would be a close second! Give him a hug for me. 🙂
I’ll definitely give him a hug from you! And he still gets a hug and treat from me since I told him he MAY have won and he’ll now be heartbroken and get all ‘dramatic’ on me. 😉
