A Memorial Garden to help honor and rescue Golden Retrievers.
What the Easter Bunny Delivered
These little guys and girls – surrendered on Easter weekend – have kept us hopping! They don’t look much like Golden Retrievers, do they? Thankfully, they were raised well and will be ready to go after a trip to the vet. Anxious families await!
I am a nascent gardener, rescuer, and photographer, chronicling the journey of the dogs at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary near Sacramento, CA - and the Memorial Garden we have devoted to them.

OMG, they are so adorable! Do you know how old they are and if they are spoken for yet? If not all adopted, I’ll share this post on my FB page.
One is spoken for. They are nine weeks old. You might want to share the post from Homeward Bound’s facebook page instead, as it has all the info and instructions on how to apply. Thank you!
There are no doubt many quite feasible reasons why pets are surrendered however, so often it is simply that the “novelty” has worn off. Thank goodness for all you rescue organizations. Dogs such as your recent group can have another chance at a long term and loving home. 🙂
In this case, it was a good samaritan who got in over her head. Took in mama, but didn’t realize she was expecting! Did a great job for having no puppy-raising experience and didn’t anticipate how difficult it would be to ensure vet needs and good homes. We’ll happily complete the job! 🙂

Awwww. Soooo cute!
I can hear them saying with the expression in their eyes – take me, take me. 🙂 Here’s hoping for happy ever after homes for each of them. 🙂
I can pretty much guarantee that! 🙂
