The world gets smaller in winter.
As the mist clears, tiny details emerge.
For a dog with seizures, the world can feel very small, indeed.
Scary, uncontrollable moments followed by a fog.
Most humans find them hard to handle.
It is easy to withdraw.
New diets and medications can make a world of difference –
but the most important ingredient is love.
Daisy is a seizure dog. To look at her you would never know.
Her person is drawn to these special dogs and has become quite the mentoring expert to others.
Rocky and Nalah were recently surrendered for their seizures.
We found them people who understand and accept these episodes as merely details of their special souls.
Among the muted greys and browns of winter –
Startling colors emerge.
Out of the fog –
A whole new life appears.
I’m so happy every time I read about these pups finding a loving forever home. Your photos are always breathtaking. Nicely done.
Thank you!
Simply Beautiful. Thank you.

Ditto what Born To Organize said! My Mom’s last poodle started having idiopathic seizures when she was about 12 years old. (After Mom passed, Boo lived with me.) I cared for as best I could – with the vet’s help – until she passed a few months before her 16th birthday. She had started clustering and her quality of life went south, so my Dad and I decided it was time for her to be reunited with Mom.
Thank you for taking Boo in and providing a loving home when she needed it most.
You find the sweetness in human beings.
Our cup overfloweth. 🙂
I agree with every comment here. It is so wonderful all you do for these amazing animals. I don’t think that there is any situation that you cannot find a solution for. God Bless all who work there and help all the beautiful animals that come there. Thank you.
Thank you, Carol.
Stunning photos, and hooray for people who can see past the seizures into the dog’s soul.
You live a life surrounded by kind and giving hearts – volunteers, new owners, and pets. Good story. 🙂
I do! And for that, I feel so blessed. Thank you, Judy.
Beautiful photos, beautiful dogs, beautiful people. A heartwarming post, Ogee.
Thank you. And I am in love with your latest series!!
The photos are incredibly beautiful, Ogee. I smile at every story, and learn so much. I haven’t had any exposure to seizure dogs, and can understand that the need would be to match the dogs with very sensitive people. I am really touched.
Beautiful photos!! So happy for all the seizure dogs. Makes my heart happy.
Beautiful and heartwarming as usual 🙂
