The most amazing thing happened in our parched Northern California valley: it’s called “rain.”
A gentle soaking rain with moments of sunshine peaking through the clouds…
which turned the garden electric.
“And now, hark at the rain,
Windless and light,
Half a kiss, half a tear,
Saying good-night.” ~ Edward Thomas, “Sowing”
Goodnight from wonderful, rain-drenched California.
May there be lots more where that rain came from!
I’ll second that!
Always beautiful!

If I knew how, if send you the rain we had for 8 of the last 9 days!!
*I’d send*
I would take it!
I was happy to see the raindrops on your gorgeous flowers. I continue to read that there’s more to come this winter, and I keep my fingers crossed that when they come they’ll be as gentle as your recent rain shower!
Some more expected Sunday. The best news is that it has already snowed in the Sierra – our source of water in the Valley. We need much, much, more. So keep those fingers crossed…and thank you!
