A perfect long weekend starts early with the afternoon off and a sneak trip to the garden.

  1. What great pictures. It looks like the lizard is keeping a close eye on the garden and getting lots of sun. the Asiatic lilies are just beautiful. I don’t think I have ever seen pelicans out at HB before.

    1. Thank you…yes, lots of hard work to bend Mother Nature a little to our way of seeing things. No “resting” here…just a wonderful place to memorialize our companions and remember together. πŸ™‚

    1. Isn’t he funny?! And choosing a turtle to conquer – of all things! Besides the irony, I think he liked the view. πŸ™‚

    1. The little guy had no fear. Came right up to him and he wasn’t moving. Don’t know if he thought I couldn’t see him, or – more likely – he was just enjoying his perch so much that he wasn’t giving it up!
